My Everyday Matcha Protein Smoothie

I think it's safe to say that my most posted "Instagram Story Smoothie" is my everyday Matcha Protein Smoothie. I make this at least three or four times a week in the mornings right after a workout and right before an 8-hour workday. It meets both my energy and protein needs. I've never been a coffee drinker, so this is as close as it gets to a drink that I'm pretty addicted to and need more often than not. 

The recipe is really simple and I try to make sure I have all of these ingredients on hand at all times: 

  • 1 scoop of Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen (This is an essential product for me)
  • 1 scoop of protein powder (I prefer either Orgain plant-based protein OR for extra collagen, Vital Proteins Collagen Whey)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 handful of frozen spinach or kale or a combo of the two
  • 1 spoon full of almond butter
  • 3 ice cubes
  • 1 spoon of chia seeds
  • 1/2-1 cup of almond milk (I feel it out and it also depends on your smoothie consistency preference-if you want it more thin or thick)
  • 1 spoon full of adaptogens or superfoods of your choice (I typically throw in some Philosophie Green Dream or Moondeli Calming Adaptogen powder)
